Port Blair, Mar 14: The Snake Squad of Forest Department under the overall supervision of Manjit Singh rescued two poisonous King Cobra Snakes from a verandah of a House situated at Bimblitan yesterday at around 06:30pm.
As per reports, the house owner sighted both the Poisonous Snakes together near his shoe rack in the Verandah at around 04:30 pm and he immediately reported the matter to the Snake Squad of the Forest Department.
However, the House Owner was anguish over the delay from the side of the Snake Squad to reach the spot after which they reported the matter to the Deputy Ranger, Manjit Singh, after whose intervention the team reached the spot at 06:30pm and Deputy Ranger Manjit Singh himself rescued the snake.
The Snakes were shifted at the Mini Zoo, Haddo. Both the snakes are approximately 3 meters long and are weighing around 3.5 kg.
