Port Blair, Mar 12: The Annual General Body meeting of the JNRM Sub-Committee of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at JNRM, Port Blair on 10.03.2017. The General Secretary of the Association, Shri T.S.Sreekumar explained about the ongoing struggles of the central government employees after the implementation of the 7th CPC and intimated that the committee headed by Finance Secretary, Govt. of India has not submitted report on Allowances till date. He also informed the meeting that the central govt. employees will be on strike on 16th March, 2017 against such anti employees attitude of the govt. Com. R.Rajendran, Asst. General Secretary explained various steps initiated by the Association to sort out long pending demands of JNRM staff. Earlier, Shri Ajoy Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Sub-Committee presented the working report for previous year while Shri U.Shiv Kumar presided over the meeting. The meeting re-elected Shri U.Shiv Kumar as Vice President, Shri Ajoy Kumar Chakraborty as Secretary and Shri Kumaraswamy as Treasurer for the coming year. A number of resolutions were adapted in the meeting including immediate regularization of 07 TSMs working at JNRM. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri Janson.
