Diglipur, Mar 12: First season of the Shibpur Cricket League 2017 concluded today at Vivekananda stadium, Diglipur. The league was organized by Gram Panchayat, Shibpur and was inaugurated by Asst Commissioner Diglipur, Mr. Awanish Kumar, IAS on Feb 24. Altogether 13 teams played 22 matches in 17 days. The exiting Final match was played in between Hi-Tech and Mayabunder Stars in which Team Hi-Tech won the match by 4 runs Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh, Mr. Saw Tattoo was Chief Guest on this occasion today. Speaking on this occasion the he praised the organizers for making this event a grand success. He along with DEO Diglipur, Mr. Sashi Kumar gave away the prizes to the winners. The winner Hi-Tech got Rs.30,000/- with trophy and runner-up Mayabunder Stars Rs.20,000/- with trophy.
Apart from other prizes best catch got by Santha of Hi-Tech, Most Sixes by Chitra, Best bowler by Kurma Rao, Best Batsman by Sandeep, Fair play award by Yovak Mondal Youth Club, Kalipur and Man of the
series were awarded to Kurma Rao. At the end Chief Guest Mr.Saw tattoo declared the tournament closed.
