Port Blair, Mar 09: It is brought to the notice of general public that the unused or old vehicles were obstructively parked/abandoned on the roads side at various parking places since many months. It is to inform the road Infrastructure of Port Blair is not extended/ broadened and remains same as 30 years back, vehicle population are increasing day by day in these isles. In this connection to avoid untoward situations on the roads and for effective free vehicular traffic movement in the Port Blair city, Traffic Branch personnel has conducted a drive against unused/damaged vehicles. During the drive many damaged vehicles are found obstructively parked/abandoned.
Hence, it is requested to all the general public & owners of above mentioned vehicles to remove the vehicles from above mentioned areas within a week, failing which abandoned vehicles will be towed away. All vehicle owners are requested to not to abandon their vehicles on the roads. Further, commercial vehicle owners are also directed to park their vehicles at specified parking place as mentioned by them in the affidavit while registering their vehicle. Strict action will be taken against such unauthorised parking.
