Port Blair, Mar 08: A solemn function will be organized at the Chatham Memorial on 10th March 2017 at 7.15 am to commemorate the arrival of first batch of Freedom Fighters of 1857 in these Islands. The Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi will lay wreath at the Memorial. The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray and the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Anindo Majumdar will also lay wreaths at the memorial.
All have been requested to join in paying tribute to the heroes of First War of Independence.
