Diglipur, Mar 7: A high level Expert committee of University Grant Commission (UGC), which is on a 3 days to Andaman Islands regarding opening a University at A & N Islands, today visited Diglipur.
Yesterday the committee met the Governor of A & N Islands, Principal Secretary (Edn) Secretary (Edn) followed by interaction with Principal of various institutions JNRM, DBRAIT, TGCE, ANCOL, ANIIMS, Nursing, ALC and MGCE.
Today morning the committee visited North and Middle Andaman, where they met with Deputy Commissioner N & M Andaman, Principal MGCE and other stake holders. After that the committee arrived at Diglipur where they met with Asst Commissioner Diglipur, PRI members and all stake holders at APWD guest house.
Today afternoon the Committee reportedly conducted a wrap up meeting with Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Edn) and Secretary (Edn) at Conference Hall of Secretariat.
