Port Blair, Mar 07: The Port Blair Municipal Council has won the league-cum-knock out 20-20 Cricket Tournament organized by the A&N Cricket Association at Netaji Stadium. In the final match held on 4th March, 2017 the Port Blair Municipal Council team led by shri Rasheed Ahmed defeated the A&N Police team.
Shri B. Raju from PBMC was declared the Man of the Match in the final match for his best bowling performance and he was also awarded as the best bowler for the said tournament.
On 07-03-2017 the team Captain alongwith the team members handed over the Trophy to Shri B. Eswar Rao, Chairperson, PBMC in presence of Secretary, PBMC, and Shri Dharmendar Narayan, Jr. Vice Chairperson, Shri Ramzan Ali, Councillor, PBMC and senior officers of PBMC.
The Chairperson appreciated the team for winning the tournament and as a token of appreciation he announced a cash award of Rs. 10,000/- to the team members.
