Paschimsagar, Mar 05: The Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Mr. Anindo Majumdar on day two of Diglipur visit, yesterday visited Ross & Smith Island and remote Paschim Sagar village.
Deputy Commissioner N & M Andaman, Asst Commissioner Diglipur, Asst Commissioner Rangat,
Deputy Forrest Officer Diglipur, Ex Engineer APWD and other HODs of the administration accompanied CS.
After reaching Ross & Smith he inspected the area and said that the Island is already in the development list of NITI Ayog.
DFO suggested that the revenue land at Sagar Dweep can be deserved to promote as a tourist hub at Ross & Smith Island.
At Sagar Dweep Island the CS inspected the schools; Health Sub Centre and Anganwadi Centre. During the interaction with the public he asked the APWD authorities to check the repair and maintenance of the
buildings and electricity connections.
Ex UP Adhyaksh Anil Mondal demanded to develop the Casurina Bay at Talbagan for tourists by providing basic facilities.
The CS is in the opinion that the road to Kishorinagar to Paschim Sagar is to be completed for better development of this area. The road from Kishorinagar to Talbagan is in finishing stage and it will be completed in March end, further road completion will be taken up in the next schedule the EE APWD said.
