Port Blair, Mar 03: The last league match of the “Unity Cup” Volleyball Championship – 2017, season IV was played on Thursday.
The Chairman, ARPAN NGO, Sh. N.M. Bashir and Pradhan, Collinpur, Mahadev Majhi were the chief guests on the occasion. In the nail biting match, YFC Haddo defeated YCOB in 24-25, 25-08 & 25-22. Eight team viz. TA Bihar, Garacharma, A&N Police, JYC, YFC, YCOB, Young Bros. & Lee Boys qualified for the quarter final matches to be played on 03rd & 04th March’ 2017. Today TA Bihar will meet with YCOB and Tomorrow YFC Haddo will clash with Garacharma.
The Final Match of the championship will be played on 11th March’ 2017. The tournament is being organized by Youth Club Ograbraj in association with Gram Panchayat Mithakhari and sponsored by Islanders Margin Free Canteen (IMFC), Port Blair.”
