The Lt Governor, Prof Jagdish Mukhi called on the Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar at New Delhi on 2nd March 2017. Issues relating to the education sector of A&N Islands were discussed. The Minister informed that a Committee has been formed for setting up of a Central University in A&N Islands. The Committee is likely to visit the A&N Islands sometimes next week.
