Port Blair, Feb 23: The Andaman and Nicobar Command has been conducting regular outreach programs for the local population in distant islands under the guidance of Vice Admiral BimalVerma, AVSM, Commander-in- Chief, A&N Command. A multi-speciality Medical camp was conducted by HQ ANC at Kamorta and Carnic on 22 Feb 17. The medical team comprised of a Dermatologist from Command Hospital, Bengaluru, a MO from INS Kardip and Eye specialist & Dental Surgeon from INHS Dhanvantari.
The medical camp received an enthusiastic response and a total of 140 patients received expert medical opinion and treatment.
Air Commodore RS Upadhyay, Chief Staff Officer (Medical), Andaman and Nicobar Command appreciated the enthusiastic response of the local population and praised the local administration, INS Kardip and 37 Wing (AF) in making the camp a roaring success.
