Port Blair, Feb 23: An awareness programme on the provision of “POCSO Act-2012” was conducted for the students of Govt. Senior Secondary School Swadesh Nagar by District Police of North & Middle Andaman recently, in which Smt. Arthi Mondal, Panchayat Samiti Member, Hari Nagar interacted with the students. While, Mr. Ingit Pratap Singh, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District, held a session for the teachers and elaborated about Child Rights & Role of Teachers.
About 300 students and 25 teachers attended the awareness programme. Mr. George Lalu, SDPO Rangat, Mr. S.K. Mazumder, Vice Principal, G.S.S.S. Swadesh Nagar & SI R.K. Mazumdar, SHO PS Billiground also remained present during the awareness programme.
