Diglipur, Jan 09: A&N UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights Commission today conducts meeting with Stockholders at Diglipur today. The meeting was held at APWD Guest house. Officiating Chairperson of A&N UTCPCR Smti. Kiran Tigga , members of the Commission Smt Rubina Siddiqui and Smti R. Geetha Raj alongwith Asst Commissioner Diglipur Shri Awanish Kumar, IAS, Pramukh Diglipur Shri Shayamal Mondal, Dysp Diglipur, BDO Diglipur Smti Lalita Tigga and PRIs participated alongwith all stockholders i.e, teachers, Anganwadi teachers, health workers participated.
Speaking on this occasion Smt. Tigga highlighted the issues especially on Child Rights, with particular reference to sexual abuse and child marriage, RTE Act and Mid day meal etc. Today Smt. Tigga alongwith Smt Rubina Siddiqui Smt Geetha Raj undertook several inspections of various institutions at Diglipur today. During the meeting Right to Education Act, Juvenile Justice Act and Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act child labour and other issues related to violation of child rights discussed. A Charter & Dossier which was released on International Child Rights day was shared with Asst Commissioner Pramukh and Dysp on this occasion.
