On day three, heavy to very heavy rain (12-20 cm) very likely to occur at isolated places over Andaman Islands.
Heavy to very heavy rain (12-20 cm) very likely to occur at a few places with extremely heavy >20cm rain at isolated places over Nicobar Islands. Fishermen of Andaman & Nicobar are advised not to venture into the sea.
Under the influence of steep pressure gradient, strong Northeast to Easterly wind speed between 25 and 30 kmph gusting to 45 kmph and generally rough seas likely along and off Andaman and Nicobar coasts. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea and to return by evening of tomorrow the 5th January 2017.
