Khudirampur, Dec 27: A five day mela in memory of Khudiram Bose was held at Khudirampur village at Diglipur which was inaugurated on 22nd Dec by Asst Commissioner of Diglipur.
Few Police personnel along with IRBN personnel were posted there for maintaining law & Order.
On 23rd December when a car reached the venue, a police personal assisted the driver for parking, which left an auto driver fuming as parking is usually the responsibility of organizing committee for which they charge money.
Fuming over this matter, an auto driver, who is also the ward member of the area abused the police constable and hit him.
Getting chance another auto driver of the area and a villager also joined the first auto driver and attacked the policeman. As per details, the auto driver even tried to drive his auto over the policeman and later threatened the police man of dire consequences if he tells anyone about this fight. It is learnt that later one attacker was arrested by PS Diglipur and was produced to court from where he was sent to Judicial Custody.
