Diglipur, Dec 27: The body of elephant attack victim has been recovered today by Andaman and Nicobar Police today from Pan Nallah area of Diglipur.
As per fresh report the victim, Mr. Juliet Lakra, about 60 years was killed by a Wild Elephant yesterday when he was going towards one of his relatives’ house on Christmas invite. The elephant reportedly crushed the head and back portion of Mr. Lakra completely. The body was later brought to CHC Diglipur today.
However it is not clear whether the elephant is ‘Tusker’ or ‘Makana’ but as per experts there are indications that the Elephant might be going through Musth period.
