Port Blair, Dec 20: As a part of help-education program and to motivate the students of these islands to have vast knowledge of our National leaders and great souls of India, Shri Bhabesh Majumder, Founder, Sudhangshubala Foundation will organize essay and quiz competitions on 15.1.2017 at 10:00AM at Govt. Demonstration Multipurpose School, Middle Point, Port Blair. Subject for essay competition for class IXth will be on Raja Rammohan Roy, Sister Nivedita, Acharya Prafulla Ch.Roy, Ramkrishna and Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar while for the students of class X subjects will be on Aurovindo, Ashutosh Mukherjee, Sir JC Bose, APJ Abdul Kalam and Pdt JL Nehru. Topics for class XI will be RN Tagore, CR Das, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and Dr BR Ambedkar while the topics for the students of class XII will be Swami Vivekananda, Subhash Ch Bose, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Satyendra Nath Bose and Laxmi Bai. As per the given topics the students of each class will be given any one name at the time of writing essay which will be in 500 words within the time limit of one hour. For quiz competition, all the above topics will be covered.
For essay competition first prize will be a laptop for each winner of the four classes. 2nd and 3rd prizes for each winner of all four classes will be a desktop and a tablet respectively. For quiz competition, first prize will be a laptop for each of the four members of the quiz team while 2nd and 3rd prizes will be a desktop and a tablet respectively for each of the four members of the quiz team.
The prizes for three institutions for the combined result of essay and quiz competitions will be 3 lakhs, 2 lakhs and 1 lakh as first, second and third positions respectively. The last date of submission of entry forms duly signed and stamped by the Head of Institution is 31st Dec,2016.
