
Port Blair, Dec 03: If regular ATMs are giving nightmares to you after demonetization try water ATMs of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, it won’t disappoint you.
As per details Andaman’s Port Management Board is going to set up water ATMs at five crucial ports. Although the five ports have not been identified yet but these five water ATMs will be set up at those ports, which are visited by maximum number of tourists and local passengers.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha recently, Dr. R D Tripathy, the Chief Port Administrator of Andaman’s PMB said that the tenders will be finalized within a week and very soon the ATMs will be installed.
“With this water ATMs people can have safe drinking water paying somewhere between Rs. 1 to Rs. 2, the rates are still not finalized. This move will save water and people will get water conveniently for which they won’t have to buy a full bottle and waste water,” the CPA said. According to tour operators at present maximum number of tourists visit in Andaman’s Phoenix Bay, Aberdeen, Havelock, Neil and Baratang Jetties.
