Port Blair, Dec 02: A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp (VBD Camp) was facilitated by A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) which was organized by INHS Dhanvantari on 02nd December 2016. In the Camp 180 persons voluntarily donated Blood.
The VBD Camp was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Smt. Lalita Sai, W/o Maj Gen P.S. Sai, Chief of staff, Andaman & Nicobar Command in presence of Dr. R.K. Halder, Project Director, ANACS with other dignitaries.
The camp was facilitated by Dr. Ganesh Samadder, CMO, NFSG/Deputy Director (Blood Safety), ANACS in coordination by Surg Capt S Mohapatra, Commanding Officer and Surg Cdr Smriti Mathur, Pathologist, INHS Dhanvantari. He and his team ensured the proper examination of the donors for their eligibility for blood donation. They also briefed to donors on various aspects and importance of blood donation.
