Diglipur, Nov 27: Butterflies NGO organized various programmes on occasion of Children’s day at Subhash Gram Panchayat hall for Adolescent girls at Diglipur with the objectives of creating opportunity for empowering adolescents girls.
The event was inaugurated by lightening the lamp by Block Development Officer Diglipur Smti Lalita Tigga.
The other important guests of honor graced the occasion were SHO Diglipur Shri V P Mishra and Pradhan Sitanagar Ms. Bulbul Mistry.
Mr. Sino P Kurian, Programme Managar Butterflies addressed the gathering and presented the idea of focusing protection and empowerment of girl children.
Pradhan Sitanagar addressing the girls gave a motivational speech on importance of education for girl child empowerment. After that SHO Diglipur described on legal protection and self defense for girl child empowerment.
Earlier Prasanna Rao (FC) welcomed the guests and described about the various activates of the day. The children presented a colourful dance on this occasion.
Sports events were organized on this occasion at Vivekananda stadium for the girls and prizes were distributed at the end of the day. About adolescents girls participated this programme.
