Port Blair, Nov 23: A businessman was held with huge amount of Old Currency by the CISF Jawans this morning at Phoenix Bay Jetty while he was on his way to Havelock Island.
As per reports, the man was carrying an amount of Rs 1,34,000 in his bag which was detected by the CISF Jawan while the man was scanning the luggage.
It is learnt that the matter was immediately informed to the Aberdeen Police Station after which the case was handed over to the Income Tax Department. Further details are awaited.
