Port Blair, Nov 08: The Member of Parliament Shri. Bishnu Pada Ray has conducted an awareness programme on 8th November 2016 at Govt. Sec. School Kausalya Nagar and Govt. Sec. School Bakultala towards the use of Tobacco products (Pan, Gutka, zarda, Sukha, Cigarette etc.,) and its ill affects.
In addition, the Member of Parliament also explained about Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) scheme, ANISHI scheme, laying of submarine Optical fibre cable connectivity from Mainland (Chennai) to Port Blair, construction of CRF bridges, National Highway, establishment of Navodaya Vidyalayas in South Andaman, opening of Polytechnics in Diglipur and Car Nicobar, establishment of Sainik school and other ongoing achievements/schemes of Modi government.
A large number of school students, teachers, parents, PRI members & general public of the concerned area were attended the awareness programme.
The general public were appreciated the efforts taken by the Hon’ble Member of Parliament towards the awareness programme of such schemes.
