Port Blair, Nov 06: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, PCC President has taken up the issue of improper / non utilization of fund allotted to the Zilla Parishad, A & N Islands by the administration for various developmental works in panchayats with the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration. In his letter Shri Kuldeep pointed out that the fund allotted to the Zilla Parishad for various developmental works in panchayats is kept being utilized for other purposes without taking up new works in villages.
The rainy season is coming to an end and it is imperative to initiate immediate action for carrying out developmental works in panchayats during the ensuring summer season. The general public of rural areas are very much distressed due to non execution of developmental works in their villages, he added.
Shri Kuldeep requested the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration to look into the matter and issue necessary instructions to the authorities of Zilla Parishad for proper utilization of fund allotted to the ZP and also for taking up new developmental works in villages without any further delay.
