Port Blair, Nov 03: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament of A&N Islands will lay foundation stones for construction of 10 Nos. bridges at the different locations in North & Middle Andaman on 04 and 5th November, 2016 as sanctioned by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & High Way from the Central Road Fund.
This is first time, the MoRTH has sanctioned fund from Central Road Fund for constructions of bridges in A&N Islands as proposed and demanded by the Member of Parliament Shri Bishnu Pada Ray.
The name of the work will be construction of Steel bridge alongwith village road between ATR to Budhanalla, Pahalgaon Panchayat worth Rs.2.21 Cr.; construction of Bridge over Nallah at Shivmandir, Rest Camp, Pahalgaon Panchayat worth Rs.1.73 Cr.; 1construction of steel bridge between Tugapur No.8 to Birshanagar, Pahalgaon Panchayat worth Rs.2.21 Cr.; construction of steel bridge at Badamnalladera (Ward No.2) Basanthipur Panchayat worth Rs.2.95 Cr.; construction of steel Bridge at Paresnagar (Ward No.2) under Basanthipur Panchayat worth Rs.2.95 Cr.; construction of steel bridge at Harinagar (Ward No.6), Harinagar Panchayat worth Rs.2.97 Cr. ; construction of 02 Nos. RCC bridges at Panchawathi (Ward No.2), Shivapuram Panchayat worth Rs.3.80 Cr. ; construction of RCC bridge at Urmilapur (Ward No.1), Urmilapur Panchayat worth Rs.1.16 Cr. And construction of RCC bridge near electricity office, Urmilapur Panchayat (Ward No.1). worth Rs.1.27 Cr.
