Port Blair, Oct 25: The cyclonic storm ‘KYANT’ over eastcentral Bay of Bengal moved further west-northwestwards in past 06 hours with speed 15 kmph and lay centred at 1130 hrs IST of 25th October, 2016 over eastcentral Bay of Bengal, near Latitude 17.1º N and Longitude 90.9º E, about 630 km north-northwest of Port Blair, 680 km south-southeast of Gopalpur and 815 km east of Vishakhapatnam. The system is very likely to move west to west-southwestwards towards westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 72 hours. Under the influence of Cyclonic Storm (KYANT) over East Central Bay of Bengal, strong Southwest to Westerly wind speed between 35 and 45 kmph and generally rough seas are likely along and off Andaman and Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. Distant Cautionary Signal No-I replaced by Distant Warning Signal No-II at Port Blair Port.
