Port Blair, Oct 23: It is being noticed that the vehicles are increasing day by day in the Port Blair city which is causing major traffic congestions. In this connection the Traffic Branch has conducted a special drive against the obstructive parking in the areas of Port Blair city viz. Bathu Basthi, Junglighat, Goalghar, Light House, Delanipur, Phoenix Bay, Ratnam Market and Clock Tower. During this drive Traffic Branch has deployed 50 IRBn personnel and 100 Recruit Police Constables from PTS accompanied by Traffic Branch’s staff. This effort of Traffic Branch has reduced traffic congestions and helped for free flow of vehicular traffic in the Port Blair city and this drive will be continued for next two days. Thus, the general public is requested for their kind co-operation which would be highly appreciated by the Traffic Branch.
