Port Blair, Oct 10: People of South Andaman have lauded the police arrangements of South Andaman Police during the immersion of Durga Idols, which concluded peacefully, without any untoward incident to happen.
The Police till the beginning to the end has continuously monitored everywhere and handled every situation so well that no untoward incident took place during the immersion of Durga Idols on 12/10/2016.
Even various Durga Puja committees extended all support to the South Andaman Police. No committees played music after 10:30pm after strict instructions from the Police and even all the committee played religious songs.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, South Andaman, Ajay Kumar Rai said that there were two three minor cases that came into notice but they were tackled by the Police Staffs.
