Port Blair, Sept 28: Two day In-service training programme (Under Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Teacher Education) on Assessment of Learning Gaps for Headmasters (Middle & Primary) was organized by Zonal Office (Edn.) South Andaman in collaboration with Dr.S.Radhakrishnan District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) from Sept 28 at DIET. The programme was inaugurated by the Mr Maman Thomas, Deputy Director Education (Sc.) by lighting the traditional lamp. In his address, the chief guest advised the participants to actively participate in discussions and find out the solution to overcome the learning gaps at elementary level. He also stressed that the teachers must work hard to achieve the learning outcomes for each class.
Mr Lokesh Kumar, Principal I/c cum Sr.Lecturer, DIET, highlighted the significance of the training programme and underlined that one should prepare always to satisfy and fulfil the expectation of the parents and society. 45 Headmasters/Headmistress/ In-charges of Primary and Middle Schools have been participating in the In-service training programme. Mr H.Nathaniel, Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman welcomed the gathering.
