Bambooflat, Sept 25: A massive protest triggered in front of Community Health Center, Bambooflat this evening after death of an old resident of Bambooflat.
According to residents of the area the death caused due to alleged negligence of Doctors and Staffs of the Hospital.
As per reports, a patient namely Mr Benjamin Barla, aged above 50 years and a private labourer by profession was taken to the CHC Bambooflat this afternoon at around 02:00pm for treatment as he was suffering from Hypertension.
It is alleged that at CHC he was given some medicines like ORS etc and was asked to go home.
But when even after taking the medicines his condition didn’t improved, he was again taken to hospital.
This time doctors diagnosed some major problem and referred him to the GB Pant Hospital.
As per the family members of the patient, the patient was made to wait for nearly one and a half hour for the Ambulance and just because of this delay the patient died at the hospital.
Later fuming family members and residents of the area along with PRI members gathered near the CHC and staged protest against the Health Department.
“We demand a proper investigation in this case and also demand the DHS to fix responsibility on the staffs and Doctors, those who are responsible in the case,” demanded some PRI members.
The protest was called off reportedly at 9.50 pm following assurances of the authorities about proper investigation in this case.
