Port Blair, Sept 21: As part of Hindi Fortnight celebrations, the Socio-Cultural Organisation “CHETANA” will organize a symposium on Sept 22, 2016 titled “National Language Hindi- Challenges Ahead’ from 4 pm in the conference Hall of Tagore Govt. College of Education, Middle Point. Renowned erudite of these islands Dr. R. N. Rath, OSD- Law College-Port Blair & Rtd. Principal- Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder will be the chief guest of the symposium. The symposium will be presided over by Dr. Jai Dev Singh, Principal, TGCE while Dr. Vyas Mani Tripathi, HOD- Hindi Department, JNRM- Port Blair will be the main speaker in the programme. Dr. Anjani Kumar Srivastav, Assistant Professor, JNRM- Port Blair and other eminent literates / academicians will present their view / opinion on the title. Deliberations will be held on the journey of Hindi and its acceptance as inter-regional communication language. In view of the current scenario and future prospects, challenges ahead for Hindi as National language and acceptance as official language will be discussed in length. Beside members of the organization, Educationists and renowned academicians of these islands will participate in the symposium. The symposium is being organized to highlight the issues ahead for ground level acceptance of Hindi as National Language as well as official language.
