Port Blair, Sept 19: The Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray inaugurated the CC Road with culvert at Ward No 15 on Monday in the presence of Smt Sheela Singh, Chairperson and Mr C.H.Babu, Ward Councillor. The Senior Vice Chairperson, Smt S Usha along with Councilors and officials of the Council were also present on the occasion.
In her address, the Chairperson, PBMC expressed her happiness over the completion of the work in a time bound manner. The Chairperson also requested the Member of Parliament to take up similar kind of works in other Municipal wards.
Welcoming the gathering, Mr C.H.Babu expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament to provide MPLAD fund for execution of the project. With the inauguration of the road, a long felt demand of the citizens of Ranchi Basthi area has been fulfilled, he said urging the Member of Parliament to further extend the CC road to the inner part of the Ranchi Basti area. The Member of Parliament assured to take up the work under MPLAD Fund. The project was taken under MPLAD scheme and executed at an amount of Rs.21,25,202/-.
