Port Blair, Aug 28: On 26.08.2016 Smt Gana Mani, W/o Ravi Kumar, (32) yrs R/o Naya Basti, Bambooflat came to PS Bambooflat and lodged a complaint of burglary of Gold Ornaments and Cash Rs 7350/- from his house at Nayabasthi, Bambooflat.
Upon this a case vide crime No. 105/16 dated 26/08/2016 U/s 454/380 IPC was registered and thereafter Police team consisting of SI Madhab Halder, SHO PS Bambooflat alongwith HC/2365 V.C Shekhar, HC/110 K.N. Rai, PC/1905 A.K. Roy and PC/1193 P.H. Naushad rushed to the spot & conducted spot inspection. On the tip of an information, they apprehended one person namely M. Sarvanan S/o Shri Mayyappan (31) yrs R/o Chennai now at Nayabasthi, Bambooflat. After thorough interrogation, he disclosed that he committed the offence and the stolen properties were recovered from his possession. Thereafter the accused was arrested and was produced before the Hon’ble Court of CJM, Port Blair on 28/08/2016. The entire operation was carried out under the close supervision of Shri Ajay Rai, SDPO (B/Flat).
