Rangat, August 19: In an accident a cow and her calf was hit by an unknown vehicles early this morning at Petrol Godown area of Rangat. In the accident while the cow died on the spot her calf suffered major injuries. Sadly for nearly 10 hours no one came forward to remove the cow from the road.
As per reports, the incident took place in between Pranashala Panchayat and Dasratpur Panchayat but even after having clear cut knowledge about the incident both the Panchayat showed no interest.
According to reports, both the Panchayat is presently having some confusion over their jurisdiction. Thus on this basis both the Panchayats seen running away from the responsibility of removing the cow form the road.
However, later when the matter was highlighted to the Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, he immediately instructed both the Panchayats as well as the Rangat Panchayat to bury the dead Cow. At around 05:00pm staffs of all the three Panchayats started the process to bury the Cow, it is learnt. The calf was shifted to nearby veterinary hospital.
