Port Blair, August 19: The Ro-Ro Ship MV Bharat Seema, which was earlier providing its services in the Lajshadweep Islands will soon be joining the Fleet of Andaman’s Shipping Services.
As per reports, the repair work of the ship has been completed at the Cochin Shipping Yard and thus the ship will start providing its services in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands very soon.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Directorate of Shipping Services, Capt. Rajinder Kumar said only the payment part for the repair works of the vessel is left.
“We have already asked the CSY for the details of bill and once the payment is done by the DSS, the vessel will be brought here in these islands,” Capt Rajinder said.
Andaman and Nicobar Shipping services is presently lacking bigger ships for inter-island ferries and entry of Ship MV Bharat Seema will certainly bring some relief for public as well as the department.

How much time it will take for the payment of repairing bills, I think not less then three months?
WOW…. we are going get 43 yrs old ship (Year of build – 1973). Lets see how many days it will give service in this island.
