Port Blair, Aug 10: A meeting with the Managers of various Banks of Port Blair area was conducted by South Andaman Police on 02/08/2016 at PS Aberdeen in which senior officers of police and Managers of various banks attended. They were advised to take adequate security measures of ATM centers and told that proper police verification should be done for Security Guards before utilizing their services and also advised to ensure their presence 24×7 and proper functioning of CCTV cameras. A&N Police time and again publishes through media, announcing, displaying visually at public places and briefing in various with PRIs, Fishermen watch Groups, senior citizens, Education Institution etc. for the information of general public not to disclose ATM card and pin number to anybody on mobile. Similarly Banks were also advised to organize such awareness programmes and issue advisory through Print & Electronic media, for the awareness of account holders. The Bank Managers were also advised to generate awareness among general public of the new techniques being adopted by the banks to stop/hold transactions of money without their consent.
