Diglipur, Aug 01: A team of officials of Diglipur region from Police, Disaster Management and Transport Department conducted a surprise checking of private ATR buses on Sunday night, following reports in Andaman Sheekha newspaper about absence of First Aid Boxes in many ATR buses.
During the surprise inspection it was found that the SS Transport Bus, which was about to leave for Port Blair from Diglipur on Sunday night, was not having any First Aid Box. Not only this, the said bus did not have permit to ply between Diglipur and Port Blair as it carried only permit for Rangat to Port Blair trip.
