Port Blair, July 27: Due to sudden breakdown of 01 No. 5 MW DG set of M/s. SPCL Power Plant at Bambooflat the Electricity Department will exercise one hour rotational load shedding from 5.30 pm to 10.30 pm in Port Blair and South Andaman area w.e.f. July 27.
The schedule is tentative and may change any time according to the availability/shortage of power. Accordingly, on July 27. Power supply will remain affected at Haddo, Haddo Warf, Foreshore Road and upto Civil Aviation Delanipur, Rajasthan Mandir, ALWH Colony, Hawaghar Jn., Dudh Line, Nayagaon, Bargat Line, GPRA Colony & Carbyn’s Junction from 5.30 pm to 6.30, at Shadipur, South Point, Mazaar Pahad, Machi Line, RGT Road, Govt. Press and JNRM College, Part of Gurudwara Lane, Bengali Club, Biggi Lane, Anthropological Museum, Middle Point, Link Road, VIP Road, Police Line, part of Junglighat. from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm, at Buniyadabad, AIR, DDK Colony, part of Delanipur, part of Prem Nagar, Coast Guard Enclave, Coast Guard HQ, Coast Guard Jetty, Panipath Road, Fortress Head Quarter, BSNL Telephone Exchange, Prem Nagar, Goalghar, Carmel School area, KV-I area & Murdakhari area from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, at Light House, Phoenix Bay, Fisheries Jetty area, Anarkali, Delanipur, Quarry Hill, Phongy Kyaung, Foreshore Road, Megapode, Teal House, Horticulture Road, Chatham Mill, Chatham Wharf, IOC & MES Power House area from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm and at Dairy Farm Junction, Lamba Line, Ranchi Tekery, School Line complete & part of Minnie Bay from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
On July 28, power cut will be exercised at part of Garacharama, Dollygunj, Attompahar, Old Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of Minnie Bay, Hope Town from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm, in parts of Sippighat, Chouldari Lal Pahar, Tsunami Shelter, Mithakhari, Namunaghar, Dunduspoint, Hathi Tappu, Mathura, Bridavan, Ferargunj to Jirkatang, StewartGunj, Kanyapuram, Wimberlygunj & Shoal Bay from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm, at Bhatu Basti complete, Laxmi Motor Area, Pathergudda, Setlite Colony & New Pahargaon, Sippighat, Teylarabad, Bimblitan, Manjeri, Guptapara, Manglutan, Wandoor, Chouldari Tushnabad, Port Mount, Tirur, Templemyo & Ograbranj from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, at Mohanpura, Babu Lane, Aberdeen Bazaar from Ratnam Market to Taxi Stand, Aberdeen Thana & part of Gurudwara Lane, Agency House, Garacharama complete & 5 MW Solar Power Plant area from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm and at parts of Dollygunj, part of Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, Dairy Farm Junction, Lamba Line, Ranchi Tekery, School Line complete & part of Minnie Bay complete from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
On July 29, CARI, AKT Miniplex, Bird Line, Calicut, Kamaraj Nagar, Beodnabad, Rangachang, Burmanallah & Chidiyatapu will remain affected by power-cuts from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm, at Bambooflat area complete from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm, at Garacharama Sub Station, Japan Nallah, Austinabad, Prothrapur, Carbyn’s Cove, Brichgunj, Brookshabad & part of Chakkargoan from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, at Junglighat, Vijay Baugh, Dairy Farm complete & CPWD Complex from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm and at Shristy Nagar, Marine Hill, Dugnabad, Cellular Jail, Atlanta Point, Aberdeen Bazaar site office area, G.B.Pant and Police HQ from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
The schedule will be repeated after every 3rd day, till rectification of DG Set of 20 MW IPP, Bambooflat. In addition, rotational load shedding will be carried out during day hours as and when required. The electricity consumers have been requested to cooperate with the department.
