Port Blair, July 6: The INCOIS Observatory, Hyderabad, has forecast high waves in the range of 3.0 – 3.6 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 06-07-2016 to 23:30 hours of 08-07-2016 along the west coast of Andaman Islands between Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel. Current speeds may vary between 63 – 82 cm/sec. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. In Nicobar, high waves in the range of 3.0 – 3.6 meters are expected during 17:30 hours on 06-07-2016 to 23:30 hours of 08-07-2016 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands between Ten Degree Channel to Great Channel. Current speeds may vary between 85 – 96 cm/sec. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. The general public have been advised to take precautionary measures and contact the State Control Room, District Control Room and Emergency Operation Centres in case of any emergency.
