Port Blair, June 17: A major fire accident gutted two houses and damaged one partially at Bada Bijan, Dairyfarm on Wednesday. The fire fighters swung into action and brought the fire under control and prevented its spread to other areas. After the incident, the Chairperson, PBMC, Smt Sheela Singh, Chairperson along with the JVC, Mr S.N.N.Gregory, Ward Councillor, Mr Eshwar Rao and other Councillors viz. Someshwar Rao and Arubadi visited the spot and interacted with the citizens to assess the situation. The delegation assured the fire victims that the matter will be taken up with the appropriate authority to provide necessary relief to enable them to overcome the situation.
