Port Blair, June 9: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen AK Singh (Retd), has congratulated the Islands toppers of CBSE class XII and Class X examination, the result of which was announced by CBSE recently. He has appreciated the toppers for their commitment & hard work and making the parents and Islands proud by their meritorious achievements.
In the recently declared CBSE Class X examination, the overall pass percentage of the A&N Islands was 97.81%, which is a jump from 84.29% last year to 97.81% this year. This is more than the All India CBSE pass percentage, which is 96.21 %. The overall pass percentage of schools of the Islands in Class XII stood at 71.51%. The Lt Governor has also congratulated the Pr. Secretary & Secretary (Education), Heads of the Institutions and teachers for the good results.
In his message, the Lt Governor has urged the students who have not succeeded in the examinations, not to get discouraged. “Never be disheartened by the result as your will get more such opportunities to improve your performance”, he said. For achieving success, you should work hard as everything is possible, he said and appealed the student to follow the ethos of “I can, I shall, I will”.
