Port Blair, April 27: The Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration under RKVY scheme invites applications from the fishers/entrepreneurs of A&N Islands for schemes viz Supply of deep freezer on subsidy to fishermen/tribes of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Supply of insulated ice boxes on subsidy to fishers of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Subsidy for purchase of freshwater fish harvesting net, Subsidy for Construction of Nursery ponds and breeding materials for freshwater fish seed production, Subsidy for Setting up of Open Sea Cage Culture Unit, Purchase of Deep Sea Fishing Vessels for fishing in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Setting up of Ice Plant and Cold storage in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Introduction of Intermediary Mechanized Fishing Craft for the financial year 2016-2017.
Application forms and detailed terms & conditions of the scheme can be obtained from the Directorate of Fisheries/ Fisheries Zonal Offices/ Fisheries Sub Offices/ Panchayat Samities. The applications completed in all respect should reach at this Directorate on or before 31.08.2016. The application form can also be downloaded from the A&N Administration’s website, www.and.nic.in.
