Port Blair, April 18: A major fire was averted in Hotel Chatura Nest, Gurudwara Line this afternoon at around 12:30pm.
As per reports, the fire took place at room number 8 situated in the top floor of the hotel. The reason behind the fire was short circuit. No one suffered any injuries in this accident.
On information a team of fire brigade under the overall supervision of Chief Fire Officer, Mr M K Shukla reached the spot on time with three water tenders and one water bowser and controlled the fire.
