Port Blair, Apr 15: Assistant Commandant Sadhana Singh, a regular short service Officer of the Indian Coast Guard represented Coast Guard Region (Andaman & Nicobar) for an exclusive women officers trekking expedition to the Pindari Glacier.
The trek was organized from 24 Mar 16 to 02 Apr 16 by the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam, Uttarakhand. The team comprised of total 24 women officers which went through the rigours of expedition starting from Loharkhet to the Pindari Glacier zero point. The sole lady Officer from Coast Guard Region successfully scaled heights of 4,500 Mtrs. Expedition to Pindari was a first-hand experience for all women Officers towards glacier Mountaineering.
