Port Blair, Apr 06: Like every year, Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration will Observe “World Health Day” on 7th April, 2016 with the theme “Beat Diabetes” in A&N Islands along with the rest of the world. To mark the day various health awareness programme has been chalked out by all the Health Institutions of respective areas in a befitting manner to create awareness about step to prevent diabetes and diagnose, treat And care for people with diabetes.
The State Level function will be held at Jawahar Lall Nehru Rashtriya Mahavidiyalay (JNRM) Auditorium on 7th April 2016 at 11.00 AM. Shri Rakesh Bali, IAS, Secretary (Health), A&N Administration will be the Chief Guest while Smt Sheela Singh, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council will grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.
Smt Minati Biswas, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parisad, South Andaman has expressed her inability to attend the meeting due to some urgent preoccupations.
