Port Blair, Apt 03: Shri Ashok Lavasa, Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change is scheduled to arrive at Port Blair on 04th April, 2016 on a six-day visit to the Islands.
The programme of the Secretary during his stay here includes meeting with Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, officers of Forest department, Zoological Survey of India and Botanical Survey of India, visit Ross wildlife sanctuary and eco-tourism sites at Ross & Smith Islands (Diglipur), eco-tourism infrastructure developed by Middle Andaman Forest Division, Chidiyatapu Biological Park and eco-tourism sites, Havelock and Mahatma Gandhi Marine Interpretation Centre. On completion of visit, the Secretary will leave for Delhi on 10th April, 2016.
