Port Blair, Mar 14: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services has been organizing various training programmes in association with ATMA for the benefit of livestock farmers. In this connection, a 2 day training programme on ‘Poultry Diseases and its Management’ was organized by the Veterinary Hospital, Diglipur at Shibpur gram Panchayat on 11 and 12th March, 2016.
Inaugurating the programme, Shri. Goutam Biswas, Pradhan, Shibpur Gram Panchayat appreciated the efforts of the department to control disease in poultry and asked the participants to avail all benefits from the training so that they can gain more through better management practices. Dr. Dulal Biswas, Subash Palve and (Mrs)Sivarani, Senior Veterinary Officers, Diglipur Tehsil imparted the training attended by 22 trainees. Shri. Dinesh Das, Agriculture Assistant, spoke on the role of ATMA in service of the farmers.
