Mayabunder, Feb 02: A three day In service Training of Scouts & Guides for the teachers of Mayabunder Zone was held in the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Education Officer Mayabunder on 28th, 29th & 30th January 2016. Shri Natarajan, ALT (S), GTT, GSS Shivapuram was the Training Commandant.
Shri M.C. Prasanna Kumar, Adv.(S), PST and Shri Murli, Adv.(C), PST assisted the course. Shri Bharat Biswas, Vice Principal, GSS Webi was the chief guest of the opening ceremony and Shri Biswanath Bain, Block Development Officer, Mayabunder was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. Various aspects of Scouting according to the latest syllabus was imparted to the trainees during the training.
Gadgets were prepared by the trainees during the course which were tastefully arranged in the office premises. The Chief Guest after inspecting the same was very much impressed and in his address he congratulated the trainees for being a part of such a useful training. Shri Mammen Thomas, District Chief Commissioner (BS&G), Deputy Education Officer, Mayabunder under whose humble supervision the training was held explained about the activities of Scouts & Guides of Mayabunder.
He also put forward some suggestions in order to improve the activities. Shri S.C. Roy, Asst. Supervisor of Sports, In-charge, BS&G, Mayabunder also addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Shri M.C. Prasanna Kumar, Adv. (S).
