Port Blair, Feb 2: As per the directions of the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), the Directorate of Agriculture (DoA) and Cooperation (DAC) of all States and Union Territories are required to carry out Intensive National Sanitation Campaign under Swachh Bharat Mission in all the Mandis/ markets. Accordingly, the Directorate of Agriculture, Andaman & Nicobar Administration in association with Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) will organize cleanliness drive on Feb 3, 2016 at Ratnam Market, at Mohanpura market on Feb 4 and at Bhatu Basti Market area on Feb 5, 2016. The drive will conducted from 9 am to 10.30 am for cleaning and collection of garbage, segregation and disposal and creating awareness on Vermicomposting.
