Port Blair, Feb 02: It has been observed that two wheelers are riding without wearing helmet and also under the influence of alcohol which is causing accidents and in some cases, the victims have succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The deceased persons have been found to be not using standard helmets and also under the influence of liquor.
Despite repeated instructions through media and awareness programmes, some two wheelers and drivers are still driving under influence of alcohol and without wearing standard helmets.
The vehicle users are once again advised not to drive any vehicle under the influence of alcohol and without standard helmet and also to properly fasten the helmet while riding and to follow the traffic signals and MV rules. Any violation would be dealt strictly, by the police.
