Port Blair, Jan 27: One Day Awareness programme on “Gender Sensitization” was organized by Gender Budgeting Cell at JNRM and was sponsored by Yuva Shakti, Port Blair on 25th January 2015.
Mr. Ravinder Rao Managing Director, A& N Cooperative Bank and Mrs. Jharna Roy ,Senior sister tutor ANM Institute were the resource persons on this occasion Mr. Ravinder Rao spoke on Women and various self employment programmes and Mrs Jharna dealt with the health,hygiene and sanitation aspects.
Dr. Francis Xavier, Principal, JNRM emphasized on the role of women in the development of society. A painting competition was organized and cash prizes given to winners. Dr. Hema Banerjee, Associate Professor welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was proposed by Miss. Nisha Sikdar of B.A.English.
